Life is filled with so much anticipation. The butterflies that come before a first kiss, the drunk on happiness energy knowing you nailed a job interview and you are just waiting for them to give you an offer, the excitement before proposing, or the birth of a child. The delicious human experiences we feel when our world is about to expand in ways we know will change us irrevocable for the better.
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to share those moments with people, to be able to sit with them in those emotions if but for a moment. It is a precious gift to be able to capture that story, to seal it in permanence on film for people to relive and share and remember.
Of all the gifts that photography brings me, sharing in that magic is an absolute joy.
I recently got to spend an absolutely fun filled afternoon with this beautiful family. We ate snacks, talked about their new bundle of joy on the way, ran around outside. I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable way to spend an evening in Colorado.
